I’m 17 and HATE this new country. It’s not even real country. Give me some George Straight and Charlie Daniels.

I never really was completely into Country music. Besides, any genre of music isn’t as good as it used to be.

It’s become the refuge for “singer-songwriter & pop/rock” fans of the 70’s who feel alientated by rap, speed metal, and most sugar-coated pop today, and want the feel of simple bass/drums/guitar/keys.

I agree, for the most part, it’s become watered down sap with a steel guitar and “yall” thrown in. Give me bluegrass anyday, but keep Alan Jackson and company out of my speakers.

I can see the thumbs down just a coming, Yes I listen to it, but I think of it as a soft rock, I grew up with loving Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Tammy, Loretta, Johnny, so many more , every day as a young girl,
Dad used to play the violin and I did back up on the guitar to bluegrass
    thanks for the memories

Some is good, some is bad. I like the old country and 70’s + 80’s rock too though. Its kinda the genre for average people. Country music portraits to a larger variety of people now than it did ever before.

I’m 16 and I love traditional country music the newer stuff is okai but it is better than pop. I could listen to Hank jr. Strait , cash, and so on all day. but the newer stuff is just the way music is gettng to.
